Biography

Dr. Protus ARREY TARKANG obtained his PhD degree in Pharmacognosy and Complementary Medicine from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, focusing on the evaluation of the antimalarial properties and safety profile of a polyherbal product. He also holds an MSc and BSc (Hons) degrees in Biochemistry from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is a research scientist in the Pharmacology laboratory, Centre for Research on Medicinal Plants and Traditional Medicine, Institute of Medical Research and Medicinal Plants Studies (IMPM), Yaoundé, Cameroon. His research skills include in vitro and in vivo assay techniques in drug discovery research and their application in the safety, efficacy and pharmacological testing of natural products.
